This would only be possible if Helmut provides a function that one can call
5 times a seconds or so to find out how many bytes of the panorama has been
read so far. This would work with both IE and NS on all platforms except
probably some Mac combination.
Then to display a bar, make a GIF with a small red square, and change the
width of that GIF according to the returned value.
