I don't see why not.  Actually, I don't think it would matter if the number
of
panos was constant;  you could just read in the params until you got a null.

Me, too.  I think Helmut is concerned about parsing a large amount of
data, but it seems like you end up with a lot of params either way.

I don't think you would want to do this; I think it would be better
to use the built in Java buttons with user definable labels.  Otherwise,
you might as well use the current 'frame' overlay method, no?

I just thought that the 'choice pop-up menu' was a very efficient use of
space.

How many bytes is this frame?  It should be fairly easy to add a param
to ptviewer to be able to set the background color.  Even cooler would be
to add 'skins' to ptviewer! Soon the applet will become an application.  8^)
