proj-imim: PTPicker Terence 2000-May-30 16:48:52
Hello all
This feels a little off topic here because most discussion is about
Professor Dersch,s brilliant PTJV, and i am as interested in the
discussion as anyone.
But my first priority is to get to grips properly with PTPicker as i have
noted before, my Verticals are not perfect they are not bad but i would
like them to 99% correct.
Peter Murphy pointed out Helmuts correspondence on the matter where one
could use the script line t1 for horizontal coordinates, and t2 for vertical
coordinates.
How would i introduce these points using PTPicker, i think i could do it
using the Panotools 1.9.2, but if i am working in PTPicker could i introduce
these t script lines? I do feel that the only reason that i have this
vertical
issue arise is everything was in very close proximaty to me whilst shooting.

Is there a function for this in PTPicker or must i do it manually as in the
manner
of Peter Murphy and Philo,s tutorials?

Working in PTPicker seems to be the way to go so please bear with me if
these questions seem or are dumb to you, i know a lot of answers to most
of the questions people ask, are contained in various Documents but often
these are difficult to place in a logical order to solve any particular
problem,
possibly i am only speaking for myself here though and i would rather it was
not construed as criticism of what is such a very important set of tools to
me.

My aim is to be able to produce very good full spherical work, using tools
which
are new to me the Sigma 8mm, shooting either 3 around, or 3 around and one
up when there is important detail above, also i have a 990 and all
accesories
on order because i live in an economy which at this point does not always
allow
me the budgets necessary to spend time shooting on film, processing,
scanning
etc and also does not stretch to a Nikon D1.
I have always worked with the 16mm fisheye and PTStitcher before.

Even if i receive no answers to my few questions above it has at least
served the
purpose or clarifying the problems that i have to solve to myself.

Whew if you have got this far thanks for bearing with me.

Regards
Terence Hogben
