Some mail clients do and some don't. In this case even yahoo might have 
done it.

BTW.: PTGui uses OpenCL not OpenGL. Hence the OpenGL version sould be 
meaningless. Make sure to update the drivers after install. My Nvidia 
didn't work with version 339 but does with 344.
