Sorry about the delay in responding.
It's interesting to read the discussion about printed vs. VR pano presentation, the examples are inspirational. Thanks Jook for the plenty of references about differing projections.
I believe I'll have an underwater pano interactive on the web soon.
Andrew Nemeth asked about the cost of the housing for my camera: the basic housing is aprox $A4000, and you need a glass dome port for the 16mm fisheye is $A2000 (They were $A3000 when I bought mine some years back!), you'll also need gears for focus & aperture control $A80-100 each and handles can be home made or purchased (for more $$$).
