I've found from experience that you only need
to allocate these tools enough RAM so they can
open the images. Any additional RAM required
for image remapping etc. will be grabbed from
the system on the fly.
So if you are working with (say) 5MB PICT src images -
a 20 MB allocation will be enough. Hell, you could
probably get away with 15 or 12.
Of course, YMMV.
