proj-imim: coolpix 950 AElock Glen Brownson 2000-May-11 12:07:46
<x-flowed>To try to balance the exposures of photographs used for stitching, I have
tried using the Exposure / White Balance lock facility of the Nikon Coolpix
950. I have found when using the AE / WB lock on the this camera, that the
colour balance of the images vary significantly (which defeats the point of
using it in the first place).
For the first picture of a pano (I use 2 per pano), I reset the AE/WB. This
picture is usually fine. I then take he second picture, without resetting
anything. The second picture is often too red. Exposure appears to be locked
ok, but what has happened to the colour?

I use this mainly for internal scenes, and I initially thought that
different colours of the room might have caused this. However this problem
occurs in evenly lit and evenly coloured rooms as well.

Am I doing something obviously wrong? Does anyone else have the same
problem?
Thanks in advance for any help
Glen
