This seems to be a bug in a Tiff or PSD library if the size exceeds
some limit. Use Tiff_Mask instead. Separate files with alpha channel
are created. If you don't want to import all files manually in
photoshop and convert alpha channels to masks, I can send you a set
of photoshop actions that automate this process...
