I have been using PanToos2.0b1 and have been pretty happy with it. I am
sticthing two frames from a Nikon CP700 w/fisheye adaptor to get a
spherical Pano...that then goes into Photovista and out....the quality of
the output from Photovista seems pretty poor though....very grainular, even
though the pano from PanTools seems pretty good....my questions are two
fold....
Can I get PanTools to output a close to but not really spherical QTVR file?
I would rather go with QT based as I think the quality may be better and I
would like to use it both on the web and in a director project.... I have
been messing with the script but so far no luck.....it still looks like a
sphere poorly mapped to a cylinder.....
Are there parameters I can tweak to get the Photovista output to be a whole
lot better...could the proportions of the input pano be messing with the
quality of the output?
you can find a java version of an example at
