PanoTools:
PTGUI multi-row spherical QTVR instructions?
desyreuk99 2005-Aug-15 14:06:05
Hi all,
Slightly struggling here - on the last few days of a trip to East
Africa where I'm shooting a bunch of stills on the Canon eos 350 D
with the 10-22mm canon lens (mainly) and am trying out my newly
acquired Nodal Ninja to do a few panos as well.
However in trying to assemble them I'm having a few issues.
Finding RealViz Stitcher (4.04) to be somewhat unstable with larger
projects so have reverted to PTGUI.
But although I have had success with Bernhard Vogl's guide on
spherical QTVR production using PTGUI, Autopano, Enblend and
Panocube Plus (although only creating single row, cylindical QTVRs
from my 10-22 lens and not a fisheye) I can't figure how I would go
about using this set-up to stitch together a spherical QTVR using 3
rows of images shot with the 10-22 in portrait and a zenith and
nadir shot(if necessary) as I was trying to do in RealViz.
(As this is what I have already shot several of.)
I do much prefer the flexibility of PTGUI but am not having a lot of
luck right now and am pushed for time to find the answers.
Today the weather here isn't perfect for shooting, so I'd like to
finish assembling at least one pano before reshooting or shooting
more when it clears.
Also my internet access is very limited from tommorrow, until I
return to London.
Many thanks for all your advice in advance.
Craig Duncan.
