PanoTools:
problem with Autopano-sift
jdmb00 2005-Sep-11 19:29:38
Hi,
Today I was trying to stitch a pretty large multi-row panorama
(rectilinear, made of 16-bit TIFs). I did what I usually do: run
Autopano-Sift on the images with a dummy image and then copy-paste the
cp-data from the *.pto file into the *.pts file. This is the process
as decribed in the wiki at
http://www.panotools.info/mediawiki/index.php?titl
e=Using_Autopano-SIFT_With_PTGui.
I have done this many times, always to very great satisfaction. But
when I tried it today, I get an error message in PTGui when I try to
open the amended *.pts file in PTGui to run optimizer. PTGui states
that:
"[value] is not a valid floating point value"
and refuses to open the project.
I tried deleting the first control point from the *.pts file but i get
the same error message with the second control point (with a different
number for [value]).
Anyone knows what this means and how to deal with it?
Thanks,
Jannes
