proj-imim: 48-bit Color Doug Brightwell 2000-May-11 22:14:43
Helmut...

I read that PTStitcher supports 48-bit color.

I have my original negatives scanned at 48-bits. I color correct them in
PhotoShop at 48-bits, and then convert the files to 24-bits in order to
perform further manipulations.

Is there any benefit to creating a pano while the files are still in their
48-bit state? Any reason why the output of PTStitcher might be higher
quality? (I'm trying to make panos for print.)

Or am I better off making the pano after I convert the files to 24-bits? The
file size would certainly be smaller to work with! :-)

Thanks,
Doug
