PanoTools:
Partial VR from NASA helmet
Nick Crossland 2005-Aug-10 23:38:30
NASA published a photo of the spacewalk on the shuttle recently, showing
the reflection in the astronaut's visor.

For a bit of fun, I thought this was basically a mirrorball shot, so did
a bit of flipping around, and turned it into a partial VR giving an
astronaut's eye view of the spacewalk.
It's not perfect, there is distortion around the edges - I don't know if
this is a flaw in my method, or because NASA's helmets aren't perfectly
spherical!
