 Yes though I can use a central rotating point too.
 

 but with this setup ... first I calibrate the on-axis camera rotation (say the R camera). Then I calibrate the first L frame to the first R frame and convert  both L and R frame sequences to aligned level horizontally cropped fisheye pair sequences (say 40 degrees by 190 degrees). Then I solve for the R cropped level fisheye rotation and apply that the L cropped level fisheye rotation as a template
