proj-imim: Creating Simple Panorama yehuda 2001-May-05 01:34:48
Hi friends,

I'm sorry for the length of my following mail...

My first (yet) panorama consists of 3 images, taken with my digital Sony D-770,
which I stitched manually using Photoshop. You might want to give a look at it
in:

    http://www.geocities.com/saritail/Photos/Levinsky.jpg

I've made necessary size adjustments by Image|Image Size, tilted the photos as
needed by Image|Rotate Canvas, and corrected perspective with Filter|Panorama
Tools|Perspective. All this was created by trial and error, until I figured out
the proper values. My easiest part was to adjust the brightness.

I'm sure that most of the work can be automated by using Panotools, if I knew
how to use it properly. I went over most of the tutorials I found and got the
impression that they are only for people that:

   * use fisheye lenses;
   * create 360 deg. panoramas

All I'm interested in is to create simple panoramas (maybe 120 deg maximal
width) using ordinary zoom lens.

Can any of you guide me to a suitable tutorial? Or show me directly how to do
the job?

I thank you very much,

Yehuda, Israel
