The beta3 appears to be blindingly fast (20 minutes to warp, stitch
and blend 55 images from 6 MP camera; final image size 20,000 pixels
wide), and in general the quality is as good or better than enblend.
Unfortunately, there is one area that the blender totally falls
apart--moving clouds in the sky. Enblend produced a perfectly natural
looking result; beta3 produced an ugly line. See this TIFF in a zip
file for comparison at 100%:
