8mm could give you more problems than help. A lot of wasted pixels, don't
you think?
A circumcided 10.5 nikkor with a conversion ring will give you the quality
and the few-shots-option of an 8mm Nikkor on an APSc sensor. A 15/16 mm
fisheye will give you a 6+2 shots workflow for HIGHWEIGHT panoramas.
In both cases I suggest you the agnos.com MrotatorT series "TCP short" head.

LET THEM ALL GO!!!
PTmac is the BEST mac software for panorama pros. All workflow supported,
all control granted.

I project agnos heads, so I'm not SO "super partes", but LET GO Manfrotto
head.
Kaidan were promising new heads, and we are all waiting, they produced the
first great panoheads, they produced some things I did not like but I'm in
hope we will see new great things.
360 precision heads are really good but camera+lens locked!
Agnos T serie is my favourite child. Really flexible, system projected (you
can buy different specialized heads and pieces to combine on the same
rotator) high quality built, and space saving... they still are heavy, but
not more than the others, and they are durable.
