It is possible to put a filter in front of the detection trigger and let the search engine continue straight to the content page. The service only deals with the detection. You decide when to trigger it and what to do with the information. The reference implementation available for download at http://br.xenaura.com/
It has only basic functionalities. You can see an expanded version at VoxCasa.com where the user can override the plug-in choice (click on the icon with the settings sliders).
